Wilderness Bride was born from a love of vintage fashion and a desire to make timeless, beautiful gowns accessible to modern women.

Founders Story: While working in bridal, I fell in love with the delicate craftsmanship of 1930s and 1940s gowns, it was the drape in the fabrics and the quiet elegance that was unmatched, but I found that most vintage dresses were too small and too short for todays women. I wanted to preserve the charm, but reimagine it for real, modern bodies.

So I began recreating my favourite vintage silhouettes, part replica, part reinterpretation, using contemporary fabrics, ethical making habits and inclusive sizing for tall, petite, and curvy brides alike.

When I first started designing in 2009, during a time of economic uncertainty I also noticed that affordable gowns were often dated in design and made from poor-quality materials such as scratchy lace and cardboard-like bodices, while beautiful fabrics came at a luxury price. I wanted to bridge that gap: to create simple, elegant and ethically made gowns that felt luxurious yet attainable.

Each Wilderness Bride gown is intentionally pared-back, a blank canvas for individuality. They are designed to be styled and transformed, allowing every bride to express her own story through the details and accessories she chooses.
